The Last Mandrill is the sole remnant of The Mandrills, once a sonic basement crawler from Groningen. He blends his alternative collage pop—rooted in the melting pot of the 1990s and the here and now—into a futurrophobic worldview in which nostalgia and despair collide with what is yet to come. Live, a mythical reality unfolds: siren song meets distorted chaos and unexpected sonic experiments, making each performance both intimate and immersive.

The Last Mandrill bleef als enige over van The Mandrills, ooit een sonisch kelderkruipertje uit Groningen. Hij mengt zijn alternatieve collagepop, die haar oorsprong vindt in de smeltpot van de jaren ’90 en het hier en nu, tot een futurofobische wereldvisie waarin nostalgie en wanhoop de confrontatie aangaan met wat komen gaat. Live ontvouwt zich een mythische realiteit: sirenezang ontmoet distorted chaos en onverwachte klankexperimenten, waardoor elk optreden zowel intiem als meeslepend is.
